Yummy Snickerdoodle Energy Balls
I thought I’d start this week of with a yummy Snickerdoodle Energy Ball recipe. First of all, they are delicious and they taste more like a treat than a healthy snack. They are quick and easy to make, and they contain 7 healthy, wholesome ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.
If you are like me, you are always searching for healthy things to make as snacks. Is it me? Or are teenagers always hungry? Therefore, I always feel good when my girls are hungry and they have something healthy and nourishing to reach for.
Thankfully these Snickerdoodle Energy Balls are so simple to make! All you have to do is measure out all the ingredients into one bowl, stir, roll, and you are done!
The Energy Balls are also perfect to pop in lunches, serve as a healthy afterschool snack or to carry in a gym bag for a quick before or after workout energy-booster.
So, if you would like to give them a try here’s the recipe.
Snickerdoodle Energy Balls
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 cup oat flour (To make your own oat flour grind oats in a food processor or coffee grinder)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. hemp seeds
2 tsp. cinnamon
In a separate bowl measure 2 tsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Mix and set aside.
Combine all the above ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until well combined. Using a tablespoon, scoop out a spoonful of the dough and roll into a ball. Roll in the topping.
Makes approximately 12-14 balls. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
I know for sure I will be making this healthy snack throughout the school year for my girls. They both love them, which makes this recipe a winner in my books. Since my youngest is a dancer and my oldest loves to work out in some capacity every day, I’m sure these yummy Snickerdoodle Energy Balls won’t last long around here.
